MITFA Announces Evening Bloomers Initiative

Matriculate in the Fine Arts has formally launched its Evening Bloomers initiative, focusing on talented seniors whose creative careers were postponed by work, caregiving, and other life commitments. The program will support mature artists through grants, classes, and exhibition opportunities.

The initiative builds on survey results from the 9,000+ residents of Leisure World, Maryland, revealing strong interest in reigniting long-held artistic passions. Evening Bloomers is designed to give late-in-the-day flowers the sunlight they deserve.

Scholarship Awards for Emerging Fine Arts Students

MITFA is proud to support four high-school seniors who have been accepted into four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). Each student will receive a $5,000 scholarship to help cover tuition and related expenses as they pursue their artistic education.

These awards represent an important step toward MITFA’s long-term endowment goal: funding the full costs of tuition, food, and housing for two or more students every year.
